Nose: brown sugars on top of raisin bread. Figgy like fig newtons. Touch musty and swampy like dried hop cones and hop pellets. Dried chocolate fudge. Unusual for a double IPA.
Palate: medium to light with a mild procession of flavors. Sweetness of raisin bread, fig, and figgy breads. Bitter root and twigs in the back swallow with a nondescript bitterness that lingers in a not so pleasant way. A weak mediocre version of Arrogant Bastard? Starts to grow thin. Bitter red apple skins.
Final Thoughts: meh. Maybe okay but certainly nothing to write home about.
